First Friday may be on an “official” hiatus until November, but that hasn’t stopped the monthly arts, music, and culture fest from kicking ass in an unofficial manner. The highlight of September’s event was the First Friday Music Festival at the Bunkhouse, which featured the Riverboat Gamblers/Dead to Me show that was originally set to take place at the now defunct Divebar, as well as the Ladykillers Tour, along with a healthy dose of local bands, art, and BBQ. Riverboat Gamblers, Dead to Me, Holding Onto Sound, Deadhand and TheCore. rocked the outdoor stage, the nighttime weather just perfect for such an event, and we were there to snap photos.
