Remember when Wyld Stallyns used the battle of the bands to usher in a new era of world peace? Because of them, the air was clean. The water was clean. Even the dirt was clean! Bowling averages were way up and minigolf scores were way down.
The XPOZ Battle of the Fans might not usher in this fabled era of prosperity that the Fourth Annual San Dimas Battle of the Bands did, but it is bringing out the competitive side in every one of the nearly 60 bands competing.
There are some really amazing bands vying for a shot to play the March 31st Extreme Thing along with already announced national acts The Wonder Years and Sleeping With Sirens, a few of which regularly grace these pages, including Last Call, Tuesday After School, Alaska, At Sixes and Sevens & more. You can only vote once per day per e-mail address until midnight on January 20th, so start voting now to ensure your pick moves on to play at the House of Blues in round 2 of the battle, and then onto the XPOZ stage at the Extreme Thing on March 31st.
