We’re sad to report that melodic hardcore band Keepsake has decided to part ways after just three years.
A message posted late last week on their Facebook page reads:
These past three years as a band have been some of the best years of our lives. You guys have given us nothing but endless support and we could never repay you all for that. We’ve experienced a lot of things and met a lot of people that we can confidently call our close friends. This has been an exciting chapter in our lives but like all chapters, they eventually come to an end.
We have mutually decided that Keepsake has reached the end of the line.
We want to thank every single one of you that has ever supported us in any way whether it was came out to the show, bought merch, called us out for stealing the band name from another band, or even just gave a shit about us. You guys mean the world to us and we will never forget what you have done for this band.
Music plays a huge part in all of our lives so please keep an eye out for any future projects. We love you all.
We always had a lot of respect for Keepsake, particularly in the way they were able to find common ground outside of the hardcore genre, playing often with the likes of Twin Cities and Guts. Guts guitarist Drew Irvin had his own words about the break up, posted on the Guts Facebook page:
The memories I’ve shared with this band are things I’ll value forever. So grateful to have been able to fill in on a tour and make some amazing friends in the process. Without a doubt one of my favorite bands, ever. And will remain in my favorites no matter what. This goes out to all the dudes in Keepsake. RIP.
We wish the guys the best of luck in future projects!
