Punks in Vegas’ favorite local comic shop Alternate Reality Comics hosted their very first Artist Spotlight reception last week. The event featured art by Gilbert Hernandez (of Love and Rockets fame) and amazing local artist Keri Schroeder, poetry by Harry Fagel and an acoustic performance by Rushmore Beekeepers, also known as Zack Fountain from post-apocalyptic folk band Scrap Iron Saints. While last time we were treated to singer/vocalist Johnny Carey’s and violinist Katie Weed’s wonderful tour bus version of Song Songs, this time we met inside their more spacious hotel room at the Palms for two great acoustic numbers.
