For the final club show I covered, I bring to you the Canadian Punk Rock Bowling. October Crisis started off the night with some awesome political punk. Soon after, The Asexuals took the stage, and if you ask me, these guys could have easily been the godfathers of modern pop punk. They have that 80s punk feel but with a different message. Dayglo Abortions tore up the stage and the crowd with their thrashy sound.
Finally it was time for Canadian punk legends D.O.A. I had been hearing they may do a song or two with Jello Biafra, and he had been at the show. They had even asked him to come on stage, unfortunately to no avail. That disappointment aside, D.O.A.’s showmanship is like no other band I’ve seen. They were jumping around the stage and the singer was playing his guitar behind his back and with his teeth. It was an amazing final club show for me to have ended the very exhausting Punk Rock Bowling weekend on.
