Though the Double Down Saloon doesn’t exactly require a reason to serve alcohol with reckless abandon, local punk label SquidHat Records decided to provide one anyway. And who can blame them? Last weekend found the label celebrating 4 years of committing Vegas punk rock to wax, and 4 years is practically a lifetime in today’s tough music world.
Label founder Allan Carter brought his band Attack Ships on Fire out of retirement once more and joining them were label mates The Damnit Jims and Franks and Deans, as well as label friends Tartar Control.
Congrats, SquidHat – and here’s to many more years!
