“I can’t believe it’s taken us this long to play a pool show” exclaimed Toby Morse, the eternally positive frontman for the aquatically named H2O. After openers Sharp/Shock got the crowd warmed up it was time for the New York hardcore/pop punk band to kickoff the first of their two Punk Rock Bowling shows with “5 Year Plan.” Music lovers at the Citrus Pool on top of the Downtown Grand had the choice between lounging poolside while enjoying a bucket of beer or squeezing up close to Morse’s outstretched hand and microphone for a chance to sing along during a lengthy set that included “One Life, One Chance,” “Guilty By Association,” “Fairweather Friend and “Nothing to Prove,” the latter of which featured Morse’s son Max on drums.
