Our friends in Narrowed (then calling themselves Marathon) celebrated the release of their debut EP The Valley at Zia Records last month with a high-energy show featuring some of Vegas’ best young bands. The turnout was amazing (I saw people that I haven’t seen at shows in years) and it’s always refreshing to see so much support for homegrown artists.
Outside of Narrowed’s delivery of an impeccable performance to the friends and family that filled the back corner of Zia’s westside location, the show was also the homecoming of Last Call, who announced their debut full-length Dog Years before launching into a few songs from that record, some being played live for the first time.
There’s not much that hasn’t already been said about Alaska, Guts and Tuesday After School. They all killed it (as usual), and I swear they all somehow get better every time I see them.
