TheCore. wasted no time setting up a homecoming show upon returning from their brief-but-epic east coast with None More Black and Dig it Up. The show was made extra special by being the official release party for their long awaited EP Change. To celebrate the occasion, the punk band invited two of Vegas’ best, Deadhand, who debuted their first new songs since the release of their self-titled record earlier this year, and Holding Onto Sound, playing a set filled with live rarities to the packed Bunkhouse crowd.
Also on the bill was Oceanside, California’s harmonious shredding machines Sic Waiting, bringing back Vegas’ own drumming ace David Bartlett on the skins. TheCore. themselves could be content to ride high on a set of their seven newly recorded gems, but mixed it up a bit with new songs “Punk Inc,” “Where’s Harold Camping,” and “Finding Loretta Lynn,” along with answering begging cheers for an encore with a cover of Bouncing Souls’ “True Believers.” It was a fun night full of fun and friends and you can see the pictures here.
