Marathon, the Vegas-based pop punk band who released their debut EP The Valley last month, have decided to change their name to Narrowed. This name change comes after being made aware of the now-defunct but still much-loved New York-based band of the same name.
When questioned about the original name on Facebook the band replied: “It was not an intentional thing. We missed them when we looked for another band by that name. How, I don’t know. We’re working on figuring out what we’re going to do. I’m sorry if we offended you or any other fans.”
To make up for the unintentional error, the band will be offering their new EP for the low, low price of $0 for the time being. You can get that at their new bandcamp page and be sure to give a “like” to their new Facebook page as well.
In other Narrowed news, the band is set to play December 7th at East Side Joe’s with Turnover, Major League and Maker.
