Remember when we told you about that GC Records / Yum Yum 12″ comp that will be available at the “15 Years of GC Records” show on June 29th? Well, the first track has surfaced and it’s a doozy. “City of Gold” is the first recorded material from Vegas punk rock band Illicitor, which features Bob Gates and Zabi Naqshband (both formerly of Holding Onto Sound) and The Quitters/New Cold War drummer Micah Malcolm. If you haven’t been able to check out the band live, or you just want to start learning the words for their next show (which happens to be tomorrow, May 16 at Backstage Bar with Caravels and Twin Brother), now is your chance.
The GC Records / Yum Yum 12″ comp “Snapshot of the 2014 Las Vegas Music Scene” is available for pre-order now for $10 via GC Records’ online store, and we’ll bring you more info on the tracklisting when we have it.
