It’s been almost a year since Sal and Brock of TheCore. agreed to be the first musicians to take part in our Stripped Down Sessions, and I recently came across a “lost episode” from that day that I wanted to share. Here is “Let ‘Em Eat Cake” by TheCore., shined-up and re-mastered. To say I was green at the time of this shoot is an understatement. I literally bought the camera I used for this and every subsequent shoot the week before filming. All my test footage was shot with a Flip, and there were a lot of things I didn’t account for. A particularly big problem at this shoot was the quickly setting sun that causes the horrible glare you can see on their legs (if you could see behind the camera, you’d see my friends Paul and Hank straining their arms holding 2XL Spock shirts to keep the light off Sal and Brock’s faces). Every video we do is a learning experience, and we’re very thankful to everyone that has taught us little tricks and techniques along the way!
